Autumn officially arrives with an outstanding Harrogate Flower Show

Saturday 19th September not only saw Joanna Eaves contemplating some prodigiously sized vegetables at the Yorkshire Harrogate Show ground, but also brought the handing over of the North of England Horticultural Society`s Flower shows from the legendary Roger Brownbridge to the equally legendary Martin Fish. Marketing & PR officer Sarah Jackson proved to be on tip top form throughout and the sense of continued growth and evolution of this super event was prevalent from the Friday to the Sunday. Flower arrangements and marketing officer Melanie Benson was highly impressed with the Flower arranging displays, even if one or two of them came with ready-made tongue twister titles. Exhibitors from the deliciously Yorkshire group encompassed fine folk from Mumtaz, Brian from Debbie & Andrew`s sausages, Davills bakers of Ripon and the delights of  Raisethorpe Hall sloe gin with Julia. Joanna proved to be an adept partner for the fantastic Bourbon Street Roof Raisers and was equally at home when admiring the fine Gladioli or fine art work of Nolon Stacey www.nolonstacey.com  or modelling the latest from Pashmina fashions.
