There is now a Petition at the Downing Street Website which reads as follows:
“We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Establish an automatic buffer zone of at least 2 km between any new industrial size wind turbine and any home”.
Submitted by M Caswell – Deadline to sign up by: 29 April 2009
The petition can be found at signed at: http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/2000metres/
Also a website has been set up at www.windfarmvictims.org.uk to gather evidence from windfarm victims on the effect that windfarms have had on their quality of life. If you have wind turbines nearby and feel you have been unfairly treated, or if you believe you are about to become a wind farm victim, please do share your story. You can send a summary of your case to info@windfarmvictims.org.uk , who are compiling a list. Statements can be sent in by people both from the British Isles and from abroad. By June they hope to have gathered enough statements to bring them to the attention of the relevant Government Departments including the Department of Energy and Climate Change, and also the Media.
