Healthy Alternative Fair comes of age
The eighteenth healthy alternative fair in the Atrium of The James Cook University Hospital launched preparations for the festive season in full force this week. With new exhibitors including Therapist Rachel Andrews
, & wool/knitting specialists Chris Laing Taylor
& Diane Drinkhall
, a superb line-up of opportunities was on offer. Simon from River Swale
proved to be as popular as ever with his usual magnificent range of organic vegetables, whilst Dulcie Brown again demonstrated why Tres Jolie has something for all tastes
. Revenue & Customs correspondent Gill Prouse joined Gill Appleton & Sue from Middlesbrough Library services to promote our monthly book of the month podcasts
- the first of which is online NOW. Shelagh Jones meanwhile combined her Goldshield Elite work with effortless networking from full-time Trust Chaplain Rev Malcolm Masterman
( who was also in full preparative mode for Tuesday`s carol service ) to arranging the after-show catering with Georgina
from the James Cook University Hospital Volunteers & coping with colleagues from the Federation of Small Businesses
. David Eagle provided full keyboard accompaniment
whilst Ann Clement from Bush Essentials was delighted to show top children`s author Dean Wilkinson how to further enhance his muse
. Graham proved as popular as ever with his healthy oriented confectionary
- the ideal partner to Norman Ogden from Smart Therapies & The Bowen technique
( in this instance feeling the power of the Quartz ). Decoupage card designer Rosemary Billington had her usual range of exquisite card designs
whilst Chocs Away`s Tracy Hart`s wares were as tempting as ever
and Daniel Strettle`s Ecoflow products for fuel-saving were spot on
. Christine Elstob from Forever Living was content to simply soak up the atmosphere
- as was the cherrypicker ( whether leaving the Atrium )
or being part of Andrew Snaith`s Chaos theory show.

. All in all , as Sharon Shaw from New Dawn
noted a top way to wrap up the 2008 health Fair Season. with anticipation already building for the 2009 hafair valentine special Tuesday Feb 10th.
