Fashion in full force at Blenheim
Country Fashion Becomes Urban Wear at The Game Fair
Country Clothing could become the new fashion for the city – according to organisers of a brand new event at this week’s CLA Game Fair, the UK’s biggest celebration of the countryside.
The Game Fair’s ‘Fashion Showcase’ which is being organised by Catwalk Events, will feature a fashion presentation by Catwalk’s show models showing the latest men’s and ladies country fashion from a range of well known suppliers.
Catwalk’s Victoria Cockcroft said:” This is a completely new – and very exciting - concept for The CLA Game Fair and one which we are sure will grow in popularity and scale year on year. There’ll be some pretty frenetic changes but it will offer Game fair visitors a fresh, fun foray into the world of fashion shows.”
The half hour long Fashion Showcase will be held in The Game Fair Theatre on Friday and Saturday 25 and 26 July at 1.00pm and 4.00pm on both days with an extra show at 4.45 pm on Friday.
The country style outfits on view could well become popular styles for urban dwellers say the organisers who will be offering a view of clothing from a list of suppliers which includes Barbour, Brocklehurst of Bakewell,, Cordings, Frimble of Ripon, Ludlows, Orvis and Really Wild as well as deerskin from Holme Farm. The show will form the basis of what Victoria says she is sure will become an established feature at the Game Fair.
“This year’s showcase is really just a taster of larger future, Game Fair fashion shows and I am sure next year we will have many more fashion retailers anxious to take part than we will be able to accommodate.”
