Countryside Live DAY ONE

Southside Podcast Producer David Eagle ( seen here with assistant Press Officer Rebecca Parsley  )  attended his first countryside live event, run with consummate style and efficiency by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society team at the Harrogate event centre and together with station manager Alex Lewczuk & CEO of www.gosim.com Penny Roberts took in a show which encompassed superlative fashion, dog agility, giant robots and magnificent fresh food. Press Officer Judy Thompson and show director Bill Cowling were quite rightly delighted with their efforts. YAS CEO Nigel Pulling and Trustee took their customary ringside seats for the fashion show. Other top memories from day one included Penny , David & Charlie who went from merry-go-rounds to Quadventures www.quadventures.co.uk  with Colin Griffith, the Treaplands Farm Bakery Team www.threaplandsbakery.co.uk , Richard Williams www.farmhousepreserves.co.uk , Kay Dyson, &  Ashley Joy ( Ashtrees Ltd ). www.sorellaonline.co.uk with Moira particularly captured Penny`s attention, whilst Titan the robot remained strangely unmoved ! Vice-Chairman of the Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers ` Clubs www.yfyfc.org.uk Peter Garbutt made his Southside Debut, and we also had the return of Lincoln from the fabulous Crusty Pie Company- David duly taking up his taster duties and ace Lincoln meat expert James Barclay. With Photographer Javan Liam adding to the ambience, the overall view from visitors and Penny was of a superlative first day to the fifth Countryside Live- Tomorrow our countryside expert Lew Bevan joins us , having spent this Saturday in Doncaster at the wonderful Yorkshire Cat Show ( more on which in Podcast 10 ) and all being well, our reporting team will include  a debut Southside onlocation appearance by Doncaster`s finest Media Comms undergraduate Lindsey Steele
