A Baker`s Dozen of health fairs

Southside`s  thirteenth Healthy Alternative fair took place in the James Cook University Atrium on Friday Sept 14th and provided the usual mix of top complementary therapies, nutritional advice and fascinating craft- oriented material. Gary Wetherall from Bioptron provides Tracy Anne Bousfield with her first light treatment after which she met up with Bush Essentials` Ann Clement and had a top Reiki massage with Linda Vickers & the Healing Zone. The Body Shop at Home proved to be a top attraction as did ace harp therapist Liz Westhead who together with children`s author and creator of CBBC`s `Bad Penny ` & `Stupid` Dean Wilkinson decided that the prize of a family ticket to Countryside Live in October - kindly donated by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society should go to Linda Vickers & `The healing Zone` , here receiving her prize from event coordinator Shelagh Jones, with `Bush Essentials a close runner -up . other highlights of the day included meeting up with Mr & Mrs Bowring ( parents of our ace pennsylavania USA correspondent Ross ), David Eagle having his first harp lessons and taking the Juice Plus Challenge with Linda Turnbull whilst Jon Ferguson anchored the on-line studio broadcasts ( seen here with writer Dean Wilkinson & Judith from Smart Therapies). Sky Blue Therapies Kirsty made her Hafair Debut whilst Revenue & Customs expert Gill Prouse and Traditional Liquorice/sweets purveyor Graham Ventnor maintained their legendary status. Other key contributors included Kristina Cook, George Sunley , Craig Boddy &  Daniel Morgan. George was so overwhelmed with Sharon Shaw he immediately  took up his Bioptron light treatment whilst Dean checked out MY designs with Michelle Yarhambefore receiving his first Indian Head MassageWith HAFAIR 13 on audio coming very soon featuring Tracy Hart and Chocs Away, Decoupage expert Rosemary Billington, Dorothy Ditchburn`s premier designs, Audrey Why & temple soaps and much more its little wonder our Southside management quartet of Shelagh, David, Kristina & George are already planning the Fourteenth Health fair on Friday Nov 9th ! www.hafairs.com
