Chatsworth Country Fair 2007 a top outdoor treat
Southside`s intrepid onlocation countryside correspondents
Lew Bevan & Alex Lewczuk attended their first Chatsworth Country Fair on Sunday Sept 2nd ( Day 3 of the great event ). For once missing the excitement of William Fox-Pitt`s triumph at Burleigh was easily equalled by the thrills of connecting once again with Ian Braithwaite
and his top Lurcher competition
. With champion owners
and top courses in full view, the sheer range of Chatsworth was fantastic and full credit to organiser Christopher Lloyd-Owen
for coordinating a fantastic feast of entertainment. Scottish pipes bands, McCallum Bagpipes
,
the Clan Macleod, Cossack Riders ,
Basket Makers,
rare poultry
, speed camera demonstrations
,
joint University Of Nottingham/University of Lincoln hands-on Veterinary Courses and Waterfowl
- all were present in abundance
. Also great to connect again with Richard Dodds
from the Countryside Alliance- www.countryside-alliance.org .
2008 now sets the challenge of combining Chatsworth & Burleigh
!
A full audio piece on the fair will be available for download very soon
