Gee Up Your Summer!
There is a flurry of activity at Grove House Stables Equestrian Centre as they prepare to swing open the gates for the Petplan Equine National Riding Festival on 23rd June 2007.
Grove House Stables in South Yorkshire has joined forces with the Festival to make sure that all in Yorkshire,
Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire & Leicestershire know the immense benefits that riding can bring to anyone of all ages.
The National Riding Festival, along with title sponsor Petplan Equine and funding from Sport England, has invited 9 riding centres across the
UK to host open days.
The proprietor Andrew Stennett BHS SM was delighted to be invited to host an open day and is confident that all who visit the centre will have an excellent day. “The Petplan Equine National Riding Festival is a great opportunity to put our centre and the sport at the forefront of local residents minds. We are very proud to represent riding in Sport England Yorkshire Region.
“There are so many different activities planned for the day, from a Visit from the English National Vaulting Squad, Informative and Interactive Horse Management Talks from Spillers Horse Feeds, International League for Protection of Horses, Paddockwood Forge, plus lots more, there will be something for everyone.”
The gates are open from 9.00am until 4.00pm. Visitors to the open day will have the chance to ride a horse and learn about the benefits of riding. If the prospect of a real horse seems too daunting, visitors can take the gentler option of riding on Trigger, the mechanical cantering horse. As well as a full day of activities and demonstrations. The Dovecote Café will be open all day providing a selection of home cooked food.
Running from June until September, the National Riding Festival is now in its ninth year, and has so far introduced over 28,000 new and lapsed riders to the sport.
So if you’ve ever thought about getting in the saddle, why not take this opportunity and discover for yourself the joys of horse riding.
